Walk, Run, Bike for Your Life Virginia Edition

Join JEB Little Creek MWR Fitness & Sports by participating in the Walk, Run, Bike for Your Life incentive program. Choose to walk/run 508 miles or bike 1016 miles from Monday, April 1 to Wednesday, July 31. Miles may be completed anywhere you choose. Just make sure to submit your weekly accomplishment and stay on track in trying to reach or surpass the end mileage goal. The JEB Little Creek MWR Sports office will have routes you can walk/run or bike.   

Online registration is required and registered participants will receive an email every Sunday morning beginning April 7 with information on how to submit their total miles for that week. Weekly emails will show a progress tracker of your recorded miles for each week and total miles to date.  

Rules/ Procedures: 

  1. Each participant is responsible for providing their mileage at least once a week (every Sunday). Participants can complete these miles at any location. 
  2. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with further instructions. An email link to submit your weekly mileage will be sent out every Sunday morning at 6 a.m. Your total mileage will be tallied each week and provided to you in order to track meeting your goal of 508 walk/run miles or 1016 bike miles. Participants who meet their goal will receive a prize. 
  3. These challenges are not competitive. 
  4. There is no time limit for each mile increment to be reached. 
  5. This incentive program starts on April 1 and ends on July 31. The first mileage log entry will be Sunday, April 7 and the last mileage log entry will be Thursday, August 1.

This program is open to active duty, retirees, DoD civilians, and their family members who are 18 years or older.
